A Little help?

The enters the great room with shelves of books on every subject. There be thousands of them. How on earth was he to find the proper ones in such a vast Library. He found none of the usual filling systems here just shelf after shelf of books and scrolls.

Sighing he heads into the isles hopeing that he can find what he is looking for sometime while he was still breathing. He was sure of one thing if he could not find the information in the vast collection he would not be able to find it anywhere. Mabey if he was lucky someone would show up and give him a hand

A Little help?

Lilian stands in the doorway. A casual cotton gauze gown, feeling more like a nightgown with ballet slippers on and her hair up in braids. "What are you looking for?" He turns to her and smiles.

A Little help?

Raymond stands up looking flustered. Finally someone who may be able to help him find what he needs. He can not belive the beauty of her even in her present attire. He wants to just walk over and kiss her but knows he should not.

"I am trying to find scrolls of the original prophesies and Laws of the Vampyres, but the task is proving quite daunting. Would you care to give me a hand Lady?", He ask smiling. "I wonder if she will recognize me for who I am?"

A Little help?

The Librarian, a tired-looking shell of a man comes around the corner, drawn by the voices.

He finds the two browsers to the exquisiste collection and waits until they acknowledge him before he begins. The two eye him over and think they've seen him somewhere before in the house. He looks almost but not quite totally unlike the Elder owner of the house. Since you know he appears younger in his Study (a smaller collection of books of more personal effects than the vast Library here) they wager this may even be him standing before them.

"Welcome to the Library. I realize the size may appear daunting at first, and it may seem to have no organization, but that is only because everything in the universe is just as chaotic, and you would have more luck creating order from it that any books about it. That said, I am a walking card catalog of the contents. There are books on every subject here, much of which is obvious fiction, others are parables and tomes of religious materials whose turth is debated to this day. Be careful in what you ask for and be wise about the source of the information you find."

The old man has to catch his breath, lick his dry lips, then continues, "That being said, I will be happy to direct you to any collection you seek, but you will have to narrow down your question, because there are multiple FLOORS here alone that contain prophetic texts and those regarding Vampyres. I believe Lady Lilian can help you narrow down your search, as I believe her to be a highly-regarded expert on the matter. I will be here to help you find locate said sources she advises you on."

He then hands each of them a small handheld computer and says, "These PADS are directly connected to the internet, and I have taken the liberty to fast-wind to the subject of VAMPIRES for you. The first link is www.white-wolf.com, a well-known publishing company, responsible for printing many laws of Vampire society. Some believe that careful reading of their materials, which are guised as fiction, do offer some truth."

He then stands patiently awaiting their command, almost robotic in his patience and delivery of information.

"I understand what you mean by old laws and scripts. Over the millenia
the original groups/ houses had there own complete works of the constant
laws. During the great betrayal, when we scattered, we gathered together
what pieces of books that we could salvage. Unfortunately over the time
period, many houses, though we don't speak together, interpretted each
missing spot of there own. That is why so many different houses seem so
different from each other. Of course being a stubborn and proud race, no
one in creations is going to just walk up to each leader and tell him/her
that there wrong. The original council, of a more civilized society, this is
the time when there was complete peace with the churches that were coming
into existance, we worked on a common law. Many of these you will find hidden
in the Vampyre church texts and as my friend had mentioned "White Wolf".
Many of the actual papers are in a vault, I know where but won't mentiion.
It is unfortunate being locked away, and the only laws some places put out
are jokes and 'just don't hurt anyone, okay? rules.'

SO Much for privacy.

Sensing the gentleman's disapproval of the Librarian's proximity, he nods to both of them and says, "Should you decide that you need more help than the PADS can offer (they can access the card catalog, but navigating the aisles can be tricky), then simply press the HELP button on your PAD. I will then locate you and attempt to render assistance. Good evening."

With that, he sighs, and heads back to his desk.

Lilian watches her friend walk out the room. The library is so quiet this time of night. Gliding past the mans desk, she squats down, puts her chin on the desk opposite to the man working and say "Men." Shrug. A little smile comes from the older mans lips. "That's right, try not to smile." Purring him to continue. "If you need any help, you let me know. Have a good night." Her voice bounces off the walls. Then the silence once again.

She turns for one moment. Feeling the space and quiet. Just like the same quiet feeling of the empty hall at the Lilith website. Empty forum that hadn't been used in years. Now her tale started the weave again. Bringing more together. A smile of contentment. This time, no one will get in our way from expressing ourselves and being ourselves. It is a good night. Too bad she's the only female, she's starting to feel a little fought over. "Men." Turns to exit.

A Little help?

The Librarian enjoyed the conversation, brief as it was. Such is his lonely book-potato existence. Then he muses to himself, knowing full well she can read his thoughts, "M'Lady, you may be the only female to visit so far, but please suffer us fools gladly. I for one am glad to have you here."

A Little help?

Lilian is on the fourth step of a ladder, impatiantly looking through text after text. This is the side of her that she hadn't shared with anyone yet. Thin round gold rimmed glasses with her hair totally pulled back wearing a heavy black cashmere sweater and tight black jeans with her favorite old worn sneakers. This is her scholar side. No, she doesn't find this side to be very sexy or attractive at all. Like this, she usually stays in the house refusing to go out. It's a quark of hers.

Thumping down novel after novel of books. Is there anything here on Angels? She didn't bother asking her librarian friend cause she doesn't want anyone to see her, too shy. Headphones blaring in her ears. Sound track to Titan AE. One of her favorites. Shrug, well it is. Little does she realize that the phones being blasted, you could walk past the door of the library and see her and hear the music.

PAD Fast-wind Index
Searching for "Angels"...

Steve Jackson Games has a role-playing game based on Angels and Demons called "IN NOMINE". Use this literature for "laws" involving interaction between them and humans. (Even Lilith is found there, and her band of childer, The Lilim.)
The rulebook is to be considered exactly that -- a rulebook for a game. Though, with a war waged in Heaven, who knows how much Truth has become legend for mortals in play.

Searching for "Raphael"...

The Archangel Raphael, whose name means "the shining one who heals," was also an early Chaldean God who came to be recognized by Jewish and Christian scholars as the Angel of Healing. This Ruler of the Second Heaven was considered to be the Guardian of The Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden. Raphael’s attributes are to bring us understanding, knowledge, chemistry, and medicine.

Raphael is one of the six great Angels of Repentance, Prayer, Love, Joy, and Light. This great Angel of Mercury is the patron of the doctor, scientist, writer, and in any field of endeavor in the liberal arts or sciences. Raphael has the Caduceus, the medical symbol, or healing hands as the tool to be used on Wednesday.

A Little help?

That is well done Dan. I know alot about this praticular angel and your reaserch is not that bad thought out. Oh, Lilian you have e-mail waiting for you.

A Little help?

Lilian looks up with her glasses and turns beat red. Looking like this and have two of her dearest friends there to see her.
Turning to whisp, a book falls to the floor at there feet. The book is of ancient text, Sumarian.

A Little help?

Raymond picks up the book and pages through it carefully. I wonder why she was studying this."Umm..Lilian",he calls,"Can you please come back and speak to me for a moment?"

A Little help?

You Might want to check your mail Lilian you have some messeges waiting for you from me.

A Little help?

Lilian walks into the old beautiful library. This time she has courage enough to walk there with her glasses on and her comfy jeans. "Excuse me, I was wondering if I could ask for a little assistance." Then the older gentleman walks around a large wall of books, "Hello again, how can I help you." "I was wondering if you might have any knowledge of how to kill demons." "MMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmm" He turns and walks away, disappearing into the ablithera of books. Lilian stands there patiantly. Not wanting to disturb her friend.

A Little help?

As the old man searches through seemingly endless scrolls, tomes, and necronomicons, he comes back saying, "Well, you have to know what kind of demon it is you are fighting. Are we talking Fallen Angels or ex-deities, Nether-world creatures or Alternate Dimension dwellers? Then how powerful (not necessarily how ancient) is the demon, and what is the demon up to? Sometimes, demons have been destroyed by the simple (yet challenging act) of saying their name. Sometimes you have to beat them at their game. 'Give the Devil his due,' so to speak."

He continues to look, but knows this is going to be a long night. He does admit, "Your friend, the Watcher, has a point though. Sometimes you can only fight fire with fire. An adversary worthy of defeating, but perhaps not destroying your foe. This is not necessarily a source of Light, but a better of two Evils."

A Little help?

Hours later of talking together, she is pouring him a cup of coffe and it is very very late. Old books of every kind scatter the tables, chairs and floors.

"You already seen what we're up against," Leaning over his shoulder looking at the computer screen with him. "But what kind of demon do you suppose it is? I know the younger demons, easy to control and manipulate. But these, I'm not sure. Do you want to order pizza? Shouldn't there be a place open around here?"

A Little help?

Umm.. sorry to interupt guys. But, these demons that have Michelle well they do not seem normal and they are not from anywhere we are familiar with. If you ask me we need to find out more about there point of origin to know what we are dealing with.

A Little help?

Agreed. So we'll start with there surroundings. Good idea. Want pizza?

A Little help?

Will you please check your mail again I do not like chasing you around when I wish to talk.

A Little help?

catch me if you can.

A Little help?

You do enjoy your Little mind games do you not Dear Heart.

A Little help?

What's it gonna do, kill me to eat some pizza?

"Anything the Lady wants on the pizza is fine with me. We know this Alchemist seems to be on an ethereal plane... in the Great Hall but not. Out of phase at a higher level. So, the demon he has conjured should be of an outer Realm. But, yes, we need to narrow down which plane."

As he shuffles paperwork around, he comes across something useful. "There is a silver thread connecting the ethereal bodies of Daniel and Michelle to their physical bodies. If you can get a witch or someone to help divine the path the thread takes, you have two options."

Riveted to the old man, the Mistress says, "Yes, go on."

"You can track down where they are, and hopefully that will tell you what you might be up against. Or, if you are lucky, someone very strong, a champion, can transcendentally follow the threads and go to the same plane to stop the alchemist before he finishes the conjure."

Ray pipes up, annoyed and exhausted from chasing Lilian around, "Why don't we just go there and kick some demon ass, then bring them back here."

"It isn't that simple. They are being restrained and tortured there, so they are weak. Too much tension will cause the threads to sever, losing them forever. You can't just reel them in like so much fish." The librarian finishes.

A Little help?

Sitting down on a chair with the high part in front of Lilian, she puts her head and hands on it, very much looking like a little girl glasses and all. "So what of the witch in the other realm? We haven't heard from her and could be a powerful ally. Also, Donovan has power, no one really knows the extent of it however. If we combined Donovan and Lilians power by some ceremony, we could send everyone to that place. Tracking them by something.....was there anything...wait a minute. 3 came, only 2 came back! Perhaps if we found the remains of the one that perished, we could use everything from it to our advantage."

Ray gets a little playful and frisky by kicking her chair from behind. Looking at Dan for a moment, excuse me, she picks up a book and throws it at him, hitting him. "Continue..." She says while eating another slice.

A Little help?

"No, Pepsi," the Librarian says, "it gives me gas." Then he realizes that here none of his health problems are an issue, so he changes his mind, "Ah hell, toss me a Pepsi anyway."

Smiling at Ray as he tries to pull himself up from the ground, Ray grabs hold of a particularly large book that isn't steady on the table. It falls, so does Ray, with the book landing on top of him, letting out an exhausted "Ooof!"

Lilian snickers, then again says, "Ok, smart ass, I got us all out of there. Daniel's good at finding me. But, what about this force field around me, and the still looming threat of big nasty demons?"

"One thing at a time, Mistress. I still want to know which one of us gets to kill Ray!" the Librarian laughs.

A Little help?

My hero...NOT! Lilian laughs as she pours more pepsi for everyone. The table is cluttered with open pizza boxes, used paper plates, plastic cups and empty pepsi bottles. In real life it should be morning, but time can so sweetly stand still here.
Hopefully we will all be like this forever.

So, now you've seen me as a good maiden, what do you think of my bad guys? She asks.

"What the heck are you planning for all of us?" Ray asks

Shrugging her shoulders, "I'm not gonna tell. That ruins the surprise." Dan looks a little deeper into the plot and sees it dark and bleak, "no way out is there?"

Moving the hair from her eyes and pulling it behind her ear, "You tell me. Personally I like rooting for the bad guys, but I'm bias." Giggle.

A Little help?

"Well," starts Dan, depressed that the good guyz have hard times ahead, "that is all relative... who ARE the good guys and bad guys living in our Gothik Nights? All I know is Dan and Lilian are obvious intertwined in many universes. Danger imposed to one calls the other to action."

He then smiles to his new friend and says, "I hope that never changes, no matter what the story's characters face in the twists ahead."

A Little help?

Seth saunters into the room following the smell of pizza.
Hearing the conversation he grabs a slice and a bottle of Pepsi and sits down. He finds this conversation quite humorous.

"Killing demons is not easy at all", he says making them both jump.,"In fact the only way to do so is on there own plane. Anywhere else a Demon "dies" will simply sending him back to his realm to recover and then he will return with a vengence. Belive me I should know. But, why do you ask?"

A Little help?

Hi Mistress kinda wondering if you are going to post or e-mail me or something my reasearch is getting tedious.

A Little help?

Lilian still enjoying her Pizza and soda, tosses a paper plate at him and says, "Take a break. You've been doing great, why don't you rest for a little okay?" The party is going great.
